Seagulls

Recently Ege and Simmit, two characters from Anne Hofmanns wonderful children´s book Osman, der Angler jumped out of the book to meet kids in the real world. In September they´ll go on tour with Anne and the book starting at Lübecker Bücherpiraten Festival.

Today I got sent some photos of the finished Freddy puppet on set.
Freddys Crazy Kitchen is a stop motion Pilot by Cecile Noldus, a Hamburg based film maker and artist.
She says, that she's happy with the head I fabricated for the puppet, so it is good to hear that.
I am really looking forward to seeing the finished film. It is full of wonderful ideas.

Cecile Noldus a Hamburg based animation artist came to visit us for a few days last week. Barbie- puppethead for a fundraising campaign

 She can now blink and move her eyes & eyebrows! I made this puppet head to support Kai Stänicke's fundraising campaign for making a stop motion animated short about gender issues.

Film premiere

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst (I spy with my little eye), a short film for kids directed by Alexandra Nebel and produced by flussaufwärts film will premiere at the Lucas Kinderfilmfestival in Frankfurt (September 2.-9.)
Herr Kasupke and other puppets for the stop motion sequences were built in our workspace by Anne Breymann, Anne Walther and Pauline Gallinat.

Action Figure - Boris

I am making an action figure out of a sculpt I did of a friend of mine. I've always thought he deserves a cool action figure of himself as he definitely is a real life hero.
It's all learning by doing. Luckily I have a nice collection of superhero toys for inspiration...
